Danny died on 4 September 2010 aged 68 after a short but brave battle with lung cancer. Diagnosed in April just 5 months before, Danny fought hard without anger or tears, a pillar of strength for his family and a true example of courage in the face of adversity. He was a very kind and loving man, and took exceptional pride in his family who loved him dearly. Danny was a real personality who loved a joke. He was very sociable with a wide circle of friends, a real entertainer. As one friend has said 'When we think of Danny we will always smile and probably laugh out loud. We are so lucky to have such happy memories of fun and friendship.What a wonderful legacy to leave behind- no better.' They broke the mould when they made Danny, and the world will be a much sadder place without him. He is never out of our thoughts or hearts. Hopefully this tribute fund will help to find ways to eradicate this dreadful disease.
